Most of the automobile models available from Aeromobilia are either limited edition factory builds, or pieces constructed by individual master model makers. In this case however, we have a spectacular kit in 1:12 scale, awaiting the craftsman's skilled hands.
A majority of collectors are familiar with the impressive factory built Ferraris from MG Model Plus in Italy. They are large enough and finely detailed to create quite an impression when displayed. This Lancia-Ferrari D50 is certainly no exception.
The kit can be assembled to replicate either J.M. Fangio's 1956 German Grand Prix winner (long nose), or Peter Collins' 1956 Belgian Grand Prix winner. The faired-in side pod body shell measures approximately 13 inches in length. The model features full engine, chassis, suspension and cockpit detail, comprised of cast resin, white metal, brass, plastic and photo-etch parts. In addition to a lift-off engine bonnet, the head fairing and rear body work is removable revealing the transverse leaf spring suspension and drivetrain.
This kit is in virtually new condition, with all parts bags factory sealed, and includes instruction manual, completed model photos, and beautiful wire wheels with mounted rubber tires. Please note: this remarkable model is for the advanced builder.
