This is an incredibly rare Carlo Brianza factory built 1938 Bugatti Type 57sc Atlantic which was produced in 1983 to celebrate an anniversary for the model building company Rio. They were produced in an edition of 500 models, of which this one is number 429.
Many of these models did not survive shipping from Italy, and being 40 years old, few enter the secondary market.
This Bugatti is complete and in remarkably good condition for a four-decade-old model. The paintwork is excellent, and all of the original parts are intact. The spare wheel has some bent spokes, but that's about it. When the spare wheel cover is in place it is not visible.
Over the years, the Type 57sc Atlantic has been modeled by several companies, but for the dedicated collector, this is the large-scale model that started it all. Overall length is around 13 inches, and a 1/43 scale model is added to the last photograph for size comparison.
This Brianza Atlantic is a real 'survivor' model, and has frequently listed for around $2000.00 when available. Grab this one at a fraction of the going rate, and you won't be disappointed!
