Lamborghini Miura SV 1971, 1:18 Scale By AutoArt

What true automobile enthusiast has stood next to a Lamborghini Miura and not gotten a little weak in the knees? The legend of Sant' Agata has never failed to impress, ever since its introduction in 1966. When the up-rated SV, or 'Sport Veloce' debuted in 1971, it featured different cam timing, improved engine and gearbox lubrication, removal of the 'eyelash' styling strips surrounding the headlights, restyled taillights and widened rear fenders.

AutoArt, the noted producer of quality diecast models, really hit it out of the park with their version of the SV in 1:18 scale, this particular example finished in the rare 'Arancio Miura' orange.

Everything about this model is top notch, from the beautiful paint work to the amazingly tight panel lines, especially considering that everything opens! The body lines are great, the stance perfect and the detailing superb. The trunk is 'carpeted' with flocking, and the engine bay is stuffed with Lambo's magnificent 380 hp 3.9 litre V12, all fully plumbed and wired. The rear suspension features light blue coilovers.

The all-black interior is very appropriate for the paint color, and while subdued, all the vital bits are visible. Opening the front boot reveals the spare tire, battery, brake reservoir, double electric radiator fans, and double wishbone suspension. Even the tiny Fiamm double air horns are there, nestled into the monocoque framework. The front wheels are steerable, and the headlights pop open with a concealed lever.

It's not too often that a 1:18 diecast model gets our juices flowing, but this Miura is undoubtedly one of the nicest we've ever seen. Like the real car, it is simply a joy to look at! The model is supplied with its original inner and outer factory packaging and instructions. Absolutely rare and pristine!
